Ingredients
- 2 ½ Cup all purpose flour
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼-½ tsp nutmeg grated
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablesppons evaporated milk sub whole milk
- 1 medium egg
- ½ cup water increase to ¾ cup if you like it less crunchy
- canola oil for frying
Instructions
- Sift all purpose fllour in a medium bowl.
- Add baking powder, salt, sugar, nutmeg and mix
- Add room temperature butter, crumble with hands or using a butter butter, set aside
- In a seprate bowl, combine evaporated milk, water and egg
- Add the milk/egg. mixture to the dry mixure. Mix just until combined
- Scoop into oil carefully with hands or using an ice cream scoop
- Fry until golden brown. Enjoy warm.
