NIGERIAN COOKING

I’ve always had a passion for food and photography, but the real journey into food blogging began thanks to my child…an incredibly picky eater. To make mealtimes more exciting, I started getting creative in the kitchen, reimagining dishes to be both fun and flavorful. Along the way, I discovered the joy of capturing these culinary experiments through photos. What started as a few Instagram posts snowballed into amateur food videos and eventually grew into something far bigger…Kikifoodies.

Today, Kikifoodies is a thriving community of millions of foodies across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. It’s my happy place where I share recipes, food hacks, and my love for cooking and baking. Kikifoodies wouldn’t be what it is today without the unwavering support of my amazing husband, my sisters, and my kids……(my biggest idea testers!)

And of course, I owe so much to my incredible community…my foodies. Your encouragement, every comment, like, and attempt at my recipes, fuels my creativity and inspires me to keep pushing boundaries, trying new things, and sharing my kitchen adventures. I’m endlessly grateful for each and every one of you!

NIGERIAN PROVERB

My Food Philosophy

Cooking, for me, is a mix of fun, self-expression, and a sprinkle of chaos. I believe in simple, flavorful, and healthy meals that bring joy to the table. Whether I’m whipping up quick meals, creating fusion recipes with Nigerian flavors, or baking pies and bread, my goal is to make cooking accessible, exciting, and downright fun.

Originally from Nigeria, I now call Texas, home. While I’m an introvert at heart and haven’t traveled extensively, I have a deep love for learning about and trying dishes from different cultures around the world.

What You’ll Find on here

Here, you’ll discover detailed recipes, engaging food videos, and maybe a pinch of my boring humor. My goal is to share real, no-nonsense content that makes cooking accessible and exciting for everyone.

Don’t be a stranger, come say hi on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube…I promise to respond unless I’m elbow-deep in flour.

a little more about me

(Not That You Asked…)

Outside of food and filming, I’m all about music, mugs, and movies.

• Music: Afrobeat and acoustics are my go-to sounds, but Passenger has my heart. His music always feels like a hug in audio form.

• Mugs: Quirky, silly mugs are my absolute favorite. Want to make me happy? Forget the flowers and get me a fun, unique mug…it’s the key to my heart (and my morning coffee!).

• Movies: I’m a full-blown movie enthusiast. I love romcoms, thrillers, musicals, and those timeless old Nollywood classics. They’re pure gold! Dune and The Hunger Games are two of my all-time favorites, and I’d rather rewatch classics than start something new because, let’s face it, they’re tried and tested.

Series: I’m not much of a series person (I don’t have the patience for cliffhangers), but the few I’ve watched, I’ve been obsessed with. I love all things A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, etc.) is my ultimate obsession, and recently I’ve been loving the Dune: Prophecy series andThe Last of Us. How I Met Your Mother is my go-to comfort show because it’s LEGEN…wait for it…DARY!

Enjoy!
