Easy Homemade Chicken Pizza

Ingredients 

For the dough

  • 525 g 3ups bread flour (substitute with all purpose flour)
  • 6 g 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 20 g sugar 5 tablespoons
  • 9 g 1 ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • cup water 375ml

Toppings

  • 330 g chicken breast

Seasoned with:

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 seasoning cube
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 Cup Chicken breast cooked and shredded
  • ¼ Cup pizza sauce
  • Bacon bits chopped and fried
  • 1 ½ cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • Green bell pepper sliced
  • Red bell pepper sliced

Instructions

For the dough

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, salt, oil and water.
  • Use a wooden spoon or your hands to mix the ingredients together until a dough starts to form.
  • If using a stand mixer, add of the ingredients into the mixing bowl, use the dough hook attachment and mix on medium speed until smooth (about 6 minutes).
  • Once the dough comes together, transfer it to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, or until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, turning it to coat the dough with the oil. Cover the bowl with a clean towel or plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.
  • For extra depth of flavor, allow to rise for 30 minutes then transfer to refrigerator and allow to rise overnight.
  • After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air.
  • Divide the dough into two equal portions, cover and allow to rest for about 20 minutes.

For the topping:

  • Split chicken breast horizontally into two.
  • Season the chicken breast with salt, garlic powder, seasoning cube, and cayenne pepper.
  • Fry it for about 3 minutes on each side until fully done, allow to rest for 15 minutes then shred it.
  • Transfer one part of the dough to a floured surface.
  • Use your hands or a rolling pin to flatten.
  • If the dough is shrinking too much when flattening, cover with plastic wrap, cover and allow to rest for an additional 20-30 minutes to relax the gluten.
  • When the dough is flat(about an ½ a cm, transfer to a pizza pan. Flatten the dough again in pizza pan.
  • Top the dough with pizza sauce, then freshly shredded mozzarella cheese, seasoned chicken, bacon bits and sliced bell peppers.
  • Heat your oven to 450°F (232°C)
  • Bake the pizzas at 450°F (232°C) for 10 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  • Once baked, slice the pizzas and serve hot. Enjoy your homemade chicken pizza!
